1965 or 2010?

Thanks Calla Lily for posting in my absence.

These past few weeks have been busy with LIFE and Activism. For days I have been trying to get my thoughts together and wrap my head around what went down last week. IT Astounds me how little people care and blow it off. I AM TIRED, WE'RE ALL TIRED. The last thing anyone wants to do at the end of day (after the dishes are done, the kids tucked in bed and the house picked up) is write a letter begging you're congressman or senators to have a spine and stand with the majority of America and vote for what is right, not your party.

I KNOW everyone is sick of politics, Washington D.C., Etc.... I Know people think we're KOOKS for standing up for freedom and trying to fight for our children's future. But, I don't care anymore... IF WE DON'T DO IT, WHO WILL??? In 20 years, I want to be able to look our children in the eye and tell them that WE DID everything we could to prevent it. We've written letters, we've made signs and have even gone to a rally. After we left this rally, we felt uplifted and more hopeful than ever. Which confirmed to us, what we were doing was good and right and that we are not alone. There were tons of families, elderly and people of every race gathering together peacefully for the same cause. I am ashamed to admit that I didn't post this last year, because I didn't want people calling me and my family names. DO WE LOOK LIKE KOOKS, TERRORIST or HATEMONGERS???? Now, I don't care, go ahead and call me names, I don't care... I know what I believe and I will keep saying it.

I was asking M.G. last week, "When did we become activist???" He looked at me and said what I was thinking "Lowering rent in Verano." That was one of the hardest and most emotionally draining things I ever did. But It worked! With the community coming together, We were able to save ourselves and our fellow graduate students hundreds of dollars in rent that year. After that experience, I really didn't want to do it again, but I will not give up on my children and their chance for a future of Freedom and choices. Where else are they going to go for that? This [America] is it!!!!!

My prayer is that everyone will stop name calling and really pay attention to the issues and what is happening. Don't think you can ignore it and that the decisions being made in your communities, states and Washington D.C. won't affect you. IT WILL and last weekend proved that. Read/listen to the original source and study history, then make a decision about it. DON'T TAKE SOMEONE ELSE'S WORD FOR IT!

I saw this video a few years ago and thought, "if he's right, we're not prepared." This week it started floating around facebook and I watched it again and thought, "he was right, it's already here; thank you Lord we were able to get a job and prepare ourselves." But that doesn't mean that we have to roll over and accept it, "TIME IS ALWAYS ON THE SIDE OF TRUTH."- Ezra Taft Benson
Please watch this video and think about what happened this past weekend

I am turning off the comments, because I don't want a debate, I just wanted to let others know that you are not alone. There are those of us out there who are trying to educate ourselves and prepare ourselves for whatever is coming and YOU CAN TOO!

WHATEVER YOUR VIEWS, PLEASE KNOW (meaning you know in your gut/prayed about it) WHAT YOU BELIEVE AND DON'T BE AFRAID TO SAY WHAT YOU BELIEVE, EVEN IF IT IS UNPOPULAR.
