Can you hear me now?

Sorry, it has been a while. Since the last post, the sickness (not swine flu) made it's way through the rest of our household. It was not pretty.

Anyways: I was supposed to have a phone interview yesterday. I was prepared for it, making sure I was in a solitary place. I was eating some toast, waiting about 5 minutes for the proscribed time to start the interview. Well, the time passed, and no phone call. More time passed. More. No phone call.

Then about 7 minutes after the proscribed time, my phone alerts me to a voice mail. ???? I listen, and it's the person with whom I had the interview. !!!! Catastrophic phone phailure.

I call my contact at the company immediately and tell her that I have not yet spoken to the interviewer and I need his contact info, since there seems to be a failure to communicate. I haven't heard back yet, so I will see what happens.

Would I be able to sue my phone carrier for all my future wages that I would have earned, had not the phone failed me?
