Men don't have baby showers...They have a

Man Party!

This weekend was very busy for us. Friday night kicked it off with a party in honor of Miracle Gro and the upcoming birth of our child. Due to a small apartment living area and only 4 remote control jacks, the party had to be limited to a few men. But, they still had a lot of fun while they ate and played video games (come on, what more could a man want). All the men went home with lifted spirits and a feeling of appreciation. M.G. can add more details if he has time.

Here is a little poster Dragonfly made to hang up for the party to tell his daddy how much he appreciates him.
Take a moment today and appreciate your man and all he does for your family.

Oh stop, that picture is way too cute. And my favorite part of that man party stuff is the decorations, oh and that some of them are wearing PJ's (that's the way to have a party)!

Oh, and the cute picture I'm talking about is the one made by Dragonfly.

Raised spirits and a feeling of appreciation? Yeah right. I left the party feeling slightly depressed and bloated after all the cookies and root beer I consumed...

The poster made by Dragonfly is a reference to a Chris Rock routine about how fathers need a little more appreciation. So, instead of the "Thanks for all you do Dad", mention something specific like "Thanks for knocking out that rent last month."

Cute idea! You know when we had C.B. Retep was the one who got the party, not me. Funny how that is. Cute picture Dragonfly.

it's too bad there isn't a sign in that room saying "Good luck in Portland" or something. I think Ben misses you too much. You guys really should move out here so that Ben will stop whining. :-)

Portland would be great! Do you know anyone hiring?

I asked Ben if Lenz Financial needs a PhD economist, but he said no. But seriously, if you know of anyone who needs an economist, send them my way.

How bad is that. When someone asks "How did you get your first job out of grad school?", I will have to answer, "I begged for one on my blog".
