Ladybug can get out of her crib. I wish we had the money to invest in one of these, but alas we do not. My friend got one last year and I know they work, but we'll just have to keep putting her back in and putting our foot down. Yesterday after I put her down for nap, a few minutes later I hear someone coming down the stairs. She thought it was the greatest thing ever "Mommy, I get out!" I did not share her enthusiasm, to say the least. Back to the crib she goes and I repeat this several times before she finally gives up and goes to sleep. Today I asked if she wanted to take a nap in Dragonfly's bed and she happily said "yes" and didn't get out once. Lets hope this continues to work until we move and I can get her a bed of her own.

Was hoping this day would not come

That sucks. Tonight Destroy told me that he was climbing on top of Search's crib tent. So, we'll see how long it lasts now. But, yes, it has been so nice. Maybe you could try E-Bay??? Or better yet, just put some barbed wire around the edge of her crib. Or course, knowing monkey-girl, she'd plot with her baby doll and catapolt herself out over the barbed wire. But, hey! If she stays in a bed, more power to her! It's funny that we were just talking about it just the other day. Knock on wood I guess.
I remember this stage... it just turns life upside down. Oh my! Usually the big kid bed novelty works. I hope it continues for you!
The gardener did not mention that I pulled out a long shoe lace last night, tied one end to the crib and the other end to her foot. I made sure that it wasn't a slipping knot, that would cut off her circulation. But still, the gardener was a little nervous about the whole tie her down thing.
Cutsey Boots can get out of hers, which I find nice in the morning and middle of the night. If she wants out she gets herself out. Its amazing what little monkeys they are. She really needs to be in a big bed. She sometimes takes a nap in one of her brothers' beds. I just don't know where I would store the crib if I took it down.. I have never had a child in the crib this long. Oh well. Good luck. Ladybug and C.B. could get into a lot of trouble together :)
You tied her in? Wow. That's almost as bad as barbed wire! Just kidding.
Yeah...I would try e-bay...you could get it for 20 bucks or so. Watch in the days right after Christmas...no one bids on anything, yet there is a ton of stuff up there!
