Whats blooming in our garden

Well, I wish I could say that my garden looks like this, but it doesn't. After a few weeks of neglect and a major heat wave, everything died. But, I had a very good excuse. I was working on the upkeep and maintenance of another garden. Luckily maintaining this garden has been much easier than the previous two gardening experiences. I am still not sure if it was due to my experience or the help of my mother, but we were very blessed this time. Miracle Gro has been extremely busy with writing a dissertation and applying for jobs, so he really did not have time to pick up my slack.

Please refrain from asking what exactly is growing because we have no idea and do not intend to find out. We are excited for whatever blooms.

Now that I am feeling better, I really need to tackle the dead garden and replant.

You don't know what is growing?

It might be a tumor.

Still speaking metaphorically, "tackling the dead garden" would mean that one of the previous two gardens had died. I don't think you're a failure as a mother; your previous gardens are super cute and not dead.

No...I really mean the garden on my back balcony is dead. I wasn't speaking metaphorically.:) I tried to take a picture but our camera only takes blank pictures and now we need to get it repaired. Thats why I had to pull this picture from google images. Next weekend I will go to lowes and get some new plants and soil. Hopefully we'll be able to get the camera repaired soon.

Curt, thanks for the congrats.

Update: Last week we finally cleaned off the balcony and rid it of all dead plants. Now for the replanting...

congrats nancy! I planted a hydrangea at my condo when we were there ... I often think about it and wonder if it's still growing.
