Dragonfly has discovered he can read. He has about 6 books he can read by himself. He is constantly asking what does this say and how do you spell that? I discovered this the other night when I found him reading to Ladybug. Then I went through the books with him and found out which ones he could read on his own. This is one of those melt your heart parent moments.

How many times have you had to spell T-H-A-T before he memorized it?
So smart and so sweet! What a great mom you are, Nancy!
I can't believe he's reading! That's so awesome. He's an extremely driven little boy so I'm not surprised that once he got the idea in his head he was ready to read! Good job! We're still working on C-A-T :)
We own four or five of the books you have pictured. "Tails" is kinda fun, and although "Go, Dog, Go" is lengthy it's still pretty cool, 'Do you like my hat? No I do not like your hat. Goodbye then.' They slay me. We read these book to my kids every day, and although I don't think my son is very proficient at reading yet he amazes me when he recites the words from memory just by seeing the pictures.
"go Dog Go" was one of the first book Dragonfly memorized as well. Lucky for us Dragonfly can now read all 60 something pages to Ladybug now. :)
So now when Ladybug wants you to read her a book, you can just tell her to go talk to her brother. That's awesome.
