Childrens say the darndest things

Dragonfly gave his 1st talk in primary on Sunday. I typed it out in big font and went over it with him about 4 times. I had to bribe him with a couple mini PB cups to get up and read it in front of the primary. Fortunately he did a wonderful job (no robot noises) and read the entire talk by himself. Then as he is about to get down he says (into the microphone) "now, can I have my treats?" Now everyone knows how I get my children to do stuff. :)

After church, we are sitting at the table eating lunch and discussing what we learned at church. When it was Ladybugs turn, she replies (in a very matter of fact tone) "playing, bubbles, drawing, snacks, playing...) She has become quite the conversationalist. Also, the potty training has FINALLY clicked. Every time she goes now, she proudly tells me, "I hold it, mommy". Yeah!!!!

Today we were at our friends house playing, when Dragonfly comments "Mary-Ann, you really shouldn't comb your hair with the combine." (He is playing with play doh and some John Deere tractors at their table) Mary-Ann replies "Oh, did you find a piece of my hair?" Dragonfly says "Yeah, you really shouldn't do that or the combine won't work!"

Ahh... these are the moments where I just laugh or smile and feel so blessed to have these children.

By the way, MG's trip went well and we won't know until next week if he'll get an offer.
